GP Donkoun started from a simple observation: sending a package to Africa through traditional channels is expensive and slow, yet every week many travelers make the trip between Africa and Europe, the United States or Canada with spare room in their luggage.
Based in Nice, France, the project is built on a belief: solidarity and mutual help within the African diaspora can be organized simply and safely, through a platform that directly connects people who are traveling with people who need to send something to their loved ones.
GP Donkoun does not replace traditional delivery services: the website only connects people, with full transparency. Everyone’s contact details stay protected and are only shared after a secure payment.
Our goal: a trip that is already happening should benefit two people at once. The traveler makes the most of the spare room in their suitcase, and the sender gets their package delivered faster and more cheaply than with traditional options.
