Does GP Donkoun carry the packages itself?
No. GP Donkoun is only a platform that connects travelers and senders. The website never collects, stores or carries any package. The traveler carries the package under a private agreement with the sender.
Which countries are covered?
You can post or search for trips between Africa and many cities in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, in both directions.
How much does it cost to send a package?
There are two amounts: a €5 fee, paid on GP Donkoun to unlock the traveler’s contact details, and the delivery price, set by the traveler in their listing (between €10 and €15 per kg) and paid directly to them.
What is the maximum weight?
5 kg maximum per package. The available weight depends on each traveler and is shown in their listing.
Which items are prohibited?
Illegal, dangerous or flammable products, weapons, medicines without a prescription, cash and, more generally, anything banned by airlines or customs. The traveler may check the contents of the package and refuse to take it. The full list is in our Terms.
How are my contact details protected?
Your contact details (phone, email) are never shown publicly. They are only shared with the other person after the €5 fee has been paid.
What happens if there’s a dispute with a traveler or sender?
As GP Donkoun is not a party to the delivery agreement, the website cannot step in to resolve a dispute about the package itself (delay, damage, non-delivery). We recommend checking the person’s identity, meeting in a public place, checking the package’s contents together and staying in touch before the trip. To report abusive behavior, email contact@gpdonkoun.com: the account concerned may be suspended.
Can I get the €5 fee refunded?
The fee pays for the connection, which is provided as soon as the contact details are unlocked. However, it is refunded in full if the traveler cancels the trip before the package is handed over, or doesn’t reply within 72 hours. Email us at contact@gpdonkoun.com within 30 days of payment. How do I become a traveler on GP Donkoun?
Click “I’m traveling”, create your account, then post your trip: departure city, arrival city, date, available weight and price per kg (between €10 and €15). Posting costs €10. Interested senders will then contact you.
Is payment on the website secure?
Yes. All payments on GP Donkoun (contact fees and listing fees) go through Stripe, a secure payment provider used by millions of websites worldwide. GP Donkoun never has access to your card details.
Can I send several packages with the same traveler?
Yes. Once the contact is unlocked, you can arrange with the traveler to send one or more packages on that trip, within the weight they offer and up to 5 kg per package.
